Many very successful lawyers and law firm partners have built very successful practices using traditional networking lessons. The different commonest term is “attorney actually.” Attorney merely means “one who represents another.” Only licensed attorneys are attorneys at legislation. If somebody wants to have you act for them, they draft a “power of attorney” and offer you sure authority.
